ECM (Exchangeable Cooling Modules) by TRIPLEPOINT LTD.
We offer a unique and new concept of cooling systems to greatly benefit processes and applications where downtime for maintenance/repair can cause significant losses in production.
The ECM systems are our own design, which incorporate decades of specialist experience, expertise and accumulated IP. We manufacture these in our Auckland, New Zealand facility for worldwide export and installation.
We carry out the entire ECM installation, for either new or existing machines, complete with IQ/OQ/FAT and engineers certifications.
The ECM systems allow an entire cooling system to be removed from the application and exchanged for a new/spare module within one or two hours, and instead of waiting for a specialist service technician to arrive - your on-site maintenance staff can follow simple step by step procedures to do the exchange which means you can continue production quickly, minimising losses, inconvenience and stress.
Also, for periodic maintenance, the modules can be shipped away for factory service/rebuild generally at a more economical cost than flying in a specialist to do the work on site.

Below is an example of some of our ECM systems fitted at a Pfizer Pharmaceuticals plant, these are our -90°C models and are fitted to a high value production cGMP Freeze dryer.
ECM Benefits
1) The compact units slide out 100% to allow 360degree access for servicing (even while running)
2) Their dual condenser and filtration systems mean most periodic servicing can be done even while the machine is running also.
3) The modules can be replaced with a spare unit within 2 hours by site staff. No need to stop production to diagnose or wait for a specialist to arrive on site.
4) The ECM conversions typically take just 2-3 weeks to complete on site. This has minimal impact on production, and is typically much faster than fully rebuilding old units on site, with more reliable time frames to carry out the work.
5) The cost of conversion alone can be compared to just weeks of lost production in many pharmaceutical applications. Effectively the ECM system pays for itself eventually.
Below: is a 'before ECM conversion' image of the above mentioned site, where the older/traditional units are fully built into the Freeze dryer. One single component failure, or a difficult to diagnose fault, had the potential to stop production.
